For the 10Mbps Uncapped LTE product, the service is limited to a maximum speed of 10Mbps and all Video and Music Streaming will be limited to 4Mbps. Shaping rules apply - Peer-to-Peer and NNTP services will be limited to 128kbps.
For the 25Mbps Uncapped LTE product, the service is limited to a maximum speed of 25Mbps. Shaping rules apply-Peer-to-Peer and NNTP services will be limited to 128kbps.
For the Capped LTE product, promotional Night Time Data is only valid from 00:00 to 05:00 daily.
For all LTE products, a R269 delivery fee will be charged for the first delivery attempt and failure to meet this delivery appointment will result in additional charges for subsequent delivery attempts. Offer is subject to credit vetting and while stocks last. RICA verification will be conducted on delivery and is subject to you being able to receive delivery and provide a valid ID document and proof of address not older than 3 months. The service is provided as a fixed wireless broadband service and should you use this service at another location, this service will not work. This service will only work with approved compatible LTE devices. Delivery of your hardware will take place within 7 - 10 working days of successful verification. Your service will only be activated upon successful RICA verification. Activation will take up to 2 working days after delivery. Multiple orders may be subject to additional checks and business rules.
Once you have placed your order and your order has been confirmed by Mweb you will be sent log in details to your online Mweb account. Once received use these details to log in and track your order status by selecting the “orders tab”. Stages and the status of your order, including timing, are detailed here. When you sign up for LTE products, there are a couple of important things to complete fully. This will speed up the process

  • Your name: Sign up in your full name, as it appears on your ID document. This includes all of your names as they appear on your document.
  • Your address: You will be asked to provide your installation address. This is the address where you will be using the LTE product.

You need the following original documents AND copies of these documents to successfully complete RICA verification and you will need to present these to the delivery agent at the time of delivery to take delivery of your LTE Sim card.
You need

  • Your ID document
  • Proof of address dated not older than 3 months

Proof of address documents include

  • Utility bills, cell phone accounts, store accounts
  • No Mweb accounts will be accepted

The ID document presented MUST BE in the same name as your Mweb account details

The proof of address MUST MATCH the installation address you have selected.

Please note that this process happens after delivery for Telkom Sim Card Only orders.

Should you not be able to present the required documents or be unsuccessful with your RICA verification, delivery will not take place and you may incur additional delivery fees

After successful delivery and RICA verification your product can take up to 2 working days to activate. Activation is triggered by the SIM card being inserted into the router. You do not need to call us after delivery has been completed.

Payment will be collected within five days of a new product being activated. If the product is activated after the 26th of the month, the first payment will include the pro-rata amount for that month, as well as the full amount for the following month. After that, payment will be collected on the last working day of each month. If you have signed up for any hardware or elected to pay the installation fee, these fees get collected immediately.

If you sign-up for a new product halfway through a month, you’ll only be billed for the days in that month that your new product is active.

Your statement shows you all of the payment-related interactions on your account for the past six months. You can access this via your online Mweb Account.
