SA July Gaming Calender - Geekfest, LANS and Tournaments

July starts off with a bang and features plenty of action in Gauteng, with two LAN events and Geekfest. The rest of the country is not forgotten about either with Cape Town featuring plenty of action in the latter half of the month.

GeekFest 2015 is probably the biggest event in the geek calendar, and we're pretty keen to make sure you and your friends are in attendance on Saturday 4 July. There will be plenty available for everyone, so there really is no excuse not to make a turn.

The 2015 iteration of the annual “day just for Geeks” will feature vendors, a cosplay competition, a cosplay ball, a zombie runrobowars, a Mortal Kombat X tournament and just general geeky goodness.

And if that's still not enough, there will be bands to keep you entertained between the juggling, LARPing and medieval fighting. For those willing to test their geek knowledge, there is a 'Geek Quiz' on the main stage at 2pm.

Our very own Han Cilliers will be hanging around at the event – just track down the person walking around with a camera, blue hair and tattoos.
