If you enjoy LANs, beer, eSports and live near Pretoria, you should be jumping out of your seat because there is a brand new place you can call home. Jukes Club and Esports Lounge is a newly established gaming organization based in Centurion, South Africa, which will be hosting its grand opening next weekend. From the 24th to the 26th of April, players and spectators will be treated to competitions that will feature some of South Africa's most renowned competitive gamers and shoutcasters

Prinsloo Els, Willa van Tonder and Teodor Nel founded the Jukes Club and Esports Lounge in January 2015, with the vision to "change the idea of gaming from being considered a hobby as opposed to a lifestyle or career." The newly developed eSports club will be attempting to live up to that goal by providing customers with "the ultimate gaming experience".

A tier one fiber optic connection will be used to power the venue's streaming functionality, where spectators will be able to watch their favorite games in clear HD. The venue will host competitive booths, a bar, a restaurant offering South African cuisine and a multitude of screens to watch all your favorite live streamed games. The public will have their first chance to view the brand new eSports club on the 24th of April at Juke's opening event.

Jukes Opening Weekend 24-26 April

The grand opening of the Jukes will take place on the 24th of April where spectators, over the age of 18, will be welcome to join in on the action. We spoke to Teodor to find out what you can expect:

"Friday the 24th of April we will have a cosplay party with food, drinks and a DJ for some vibes. We will have some of the best South African players in DOTA 2, CSGO and Hearthstone facing of in exhibition matches straight from our competition booths. These matches will be casted by casters from eAe, NAV and even the well know Congo Kyle live, in our casting booth. "

The LAN portion of the opening weekend will take place from the 25th to the 26th of April:

"On Saturday morning our first of many LAN's will start. Games like DOTA, Call of Duty and CSGO will have minor competitions through the LAN. There will be random give aways and casting done throughout the event. Each player will have dedicated internet connection which will allow you to play online. Players will also be provided a meal and a drink for each day. We also have a full bar and kitchen to buy drinks and snacks from"

The two-day LAN requires participants to preregister, at a cost of R250, as no walk-ins will be allowed. Spectators are, however, welcome to come and go as they please. To find out more about the LAN event please go here.

Location: Corner of Hendrik Verwoerd and Jakaranda Road, 0157 Pretoria, South Africa

In closing, Teodor had the following to say:

"The aim of Jukes is to develop esports in South Africa. We aim to do this together with gamers and gaming associations in South Africa. We would also like to create an environment where we can work together to really start competing on international level. Everyone is welcome at Jukes."
