#Random Crashes/ Stuttering issues:

I seriously suggest you all to change the resolution of the Game if it’s opening. However, if the game is crashing to desktop while opening without even showing the start screen, the solution is updating your Drivers. It has worked fine for few of the players and they are able to play the game with Lag too. Updating drivers is the easiest and smartest way to avoid crashing issues and stuttering issues. I have found this tool on the internet that can make your work simpler. Download it and that’s it. It will do it for you through one click.

#Game not opening: Input Not supported:

Whenever you open the game, it shows “Input not supported” error notice. The possible solutions for this are,

  • Change the Desktop resolution to the Game resolution.
  • Or else, Reboot your PC. Then press F8 continuously until you get Boot options.
  • Then Enable Low resolution mode.

LOW FPS / FPS drops Fix For Dying Light:

If your PC did not meet the requirements, they you should bear it . However, you can try the workaround given below . It might help you get rid of lag at least.

  • First, go to Task Manager.
  • Then go to “Details” Tab.
  • Now, find the .exe file of Dying Light.
  • Then Right click on it and select “Set Priority ” option and set the priority to “Real-time” or high.

Failed to Start game. Missing Dyinglight.exe

Make sure that you have turned off the Anti-virus while installing. Sometimes, your Anti-virus software deletes it during Malware check up . Find the exe file in recycle bin . Restore it back.

Sound Stuttering/ Noise / Sound Lag issues:

Only few people have been facing this error. So, it’s definitely not the developers Fault. I suggest you to update your Sound card drivers. It might work well :). Use this tool to make your task easier.

Dll Crash on start up/ Dyinglight.exe has stopped working:

“The program has stopped working as “Dllfilename.dll” is missing from your Computer.

This is one of the error message regarding the Dll crashes. I have seen people uninstalling the game after encountering this error. That’s just a waste. I will show you the simplest method to fix this error.

  • Download the Dll-Files Fixer from here.
  • After downloading, run the tool.
  • Then, it will scan your PC for Dll errors. It generally takes 5-10 minutes.
  • After that, you can directly fix the errors through one click.

Dying Light Black Screen Fix

Make sure you are running latest version of your GPU drivers. If that’s not the issue, you should try running the game in windowed mode. For that, go to My Documents\dyinglight\out\settings\video.scr and get rid of “Fullscreen()” command. If you are able to see the screen in windowed mode, try lowering your resolution and refresh rates to match that of your desktop settings.

Dying Light Memory Leak Fix

I am not sure whether this will work for you or not but a simple restart can get the job done. You can also try increasing the size of your virtual memory.

Dying Light SLI Stutter Fix

If disabling the SLI isn’t a good option for you and game becomes unplayable, you can try out this workaround. This could help you reduce stutter to a great extent.

Dying Light – How to Enable Oculus Rift

You need to open video.scr file in \Documents\DyingLight\out\settings\ using a text file and remove ! sign from the command !OculusEnabled().

Dying Light Crashes – CrashExit… ResizeBuffers failed 0x887a0005

Make sure you aren’t running any third party applications in the background that could conflict with the game e.g any fps counter or broadcasting tool. If that’s not the case, you should try re-installing your directx.

Dying Light Full Screen Issue

First, you need to press Alt+Enter to go to full screen. If that doesn’t work, try full screen commands in launch options. No luck? you need to open video.scr file in \Documents\DyingLight\out\settings\ using a text editor and add 1 where it says full screen (Fullscreen (1)). Some users have reported that fix #7 has also enabled them to get into full screen.
