According to gamespot.com, Activision Blizzard senior director of global digital and mobile sales (OMG what a mouthful!), Jon Estanislao spoke at the DMW Games conference in Los Angeles and said that previously released mobile titles like Call of Duty: Zombies were “okay”, but in future the company plans to “avoid ports and focus on original games.”

He stated:

"Going forward for us, how do we really take that Call of Duty experience, what is the essence of it? These kinds of grandiose, immerse [sic] experiences--how do we move that to mobile or tablet? From a development perspective, we're investing a lot more in understanding how to marry that together with how customers expect to play on those device.,"

He also said that the new-generation Call of Duty for portable devices will take advantage of the properties of a given device. Activision has dedicated some internal studios to develop the mobile Call of Duty games and also plans to bring in some other folks from outside the videogaming industry to help develop a game that will enhance your experiences.

How exciting for you!
