Dota 2: Valve extends the Battle Pass features with two more weeks

During the past couple of weeks, we brought you all the coverage from The International 2018, including the results, fantasy picks, predictions and much more. The story of OG making a comeback and claiming the Aegis of Champions is one that this Dota 2 fan will never forget. OG also claimed the lion’s share of the biggest prize pool in esports history, mostly funded by Battle Pass and related purchases.

The Battle Pass was supposed to end right after The International 2018’s Grand Finals, but Valve has decided to extend the Battle Pass features by two weeks. You now have until 10 September to finish up those Cavern Crawl quests, level up your battle pass with daily and weekly challenges, and maybe even play some more of The Underhollow if you are one of the players who actually enjoy that.

Valve explains in a post that:

In the wake of The International, we’re extending the Battle Pass for two more weeks. So everyone that was busy watching OG’s road to the Aegis can now enjoy their Battle Pass features until Monday, September 10.” - Source

Before some Dota 2 fans start screaming “Valve just wants more money, cash grab!” please note that you can’t purchase any more Battle Pass levels as that feature has been disabled. All you can do now is enjoy the other features and maybe gain a few more levels by completing achievements and opening more blocks in the Cavern Crawl.

With that being said, I was a little bit disappointed with The Underhollow, as it felt quite underwhelming and not really worth it in the end. If you are close to some more treasures, then you might be able to get a few more Immortal Treasure III’s or other cool items from levelling up via achievements and wagers.

What is your Battle Pass level and do you still need a few levels to get that item or treasure you really want? Let us know in the comment section below.
