Back at E3 this year, everyone thought that Sony would announce a sequel to the highly acclaimed Bloodborne but that was not the case. Instead, From Software revealed a new project they have been working on called Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The game sees you explore the late 1500s Sengoku Japan as you face a dark and twisted world as a man known as the "one-armed wolf". After a young lord who you are sworn to protect goes missing, you set off to get him back by any means necessary and take on the dangerous Ashini clan.

The game will play out like a Dark Souls meets Nioh experience where you have the ability to wield special weapons, shields, and abilities as you take down the most dangerous of foes. Expect the same tactical combat approach as you learn your enemies and how they attack so you can counter them and come out of the fight unscathed. Players will be able to combine swordplay with a grappling hook to expand combat and even traversal.

As it is Gamescom week, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been dated with a brand new trailer and a fancy Collector's Edition. Activision has announced that the game will release on 22 March 2019 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Steve Young, Chief Revenue Officer at Activision broke the news in a statement saying "We can’t wait for fans to finally get their hands on Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Fans will get a taste of the multiple tools available for the prosthetic shinobi arm this week at Gamescom, and will be able to fully dive into the brutal, dark world of 1500s Sengoku Japan when the game launches on March 22, 2019.”

Along with the announcement came a reveal of a Collector's Edition. This awesome-looking box comes with the game (of course), a 7-inch Shinobi Statue, art book, map. digital soundtrack and replica game coins. There is no word yet if this will release in SA but stay alert for when pre-orders open up for the game.
