Last week Blizzard teased us as the community manager released a video telling us that the developer is busy working on multiple Diablo games. While we are not sure if these are sequels, remasters of older games or ports, it was good news to know. The first of the games has been leaked and it is none other than Diablo 3 for Nintendo Switch.

Blizzard is set to make the announcement today according to multiple international gaming sites but before they did, Forbes jumped the gun and published an article about the announcement. Dubbed as the "Eternal Collection", Diablo 3 on Nintendo Switch will include Diablo 3, Reaper of Souls expansion pack and the Rise of the Necromancer DLC. While the announcement post has been pulled already, the details of the package won't take a rocket scientist to figure out as it contains the same stuff seen in the PS4 and Xbox One editions.
According to post, the game will include 4-player co-op on a single Switch console, 4-player local play with four different consoles, and an online mode which will work with the upcoming Nintendo Switch Online service. The game will also support cloud saving.
Best of all, the game will come with special Nintendo Switch-exclusive in-game bonuses such as The Legend of Ganondorf cosmetic armour set, Tri-Force portrait frame, a Chicken pet, and Echoes of the Mark Cosmetics wings. The game also marks the first Blizzard title to release on a Nintendo platform in 15 whole years so it is a big deal. The last Blizzard title to land on Nintendo hardware was Blizzard's Classic Arcade Game Boy Advanced title that released back in 2002.
We will update this post when the official announcement is made but this is good news indeed. Would you play Diablo 3 on Switch? Let us know in the comments below.
