Dota 2: Valve finally unleashes the Immortal Treasure III for Battle Pass owners

At roughly 01:00 today, Valve released the long-awaited and highly-anticipated Immortal Treasure III for Dota 2 Battle Pass owners to sink their teeth into. The update weighs in at roughly 350 MB and holds some of the best treasures I’ve seen so far this year.

Without a doubt, the wait was worth it and I’ve already fallen in love with the ultra-rare bundle for the Witch Doctor, as it is in my opinion, the best-looking Witch Doctor yet. Queen of Pain has two items in the bundle, with a regular as well as a golden version of her Bloodfeather Feast item available to those lucky enough.

Further, Shadow Shaman, Dark Willow, Batrider, Zeus and Naga Siren also gets some love and honestly, I can’t find fault with any of the items in the treasure as they are all fantastic. For those who have luck on their side and GabeN probably sitting next to them, there is also the cosmically rare Emblem of the Crystal Echelon to collect, but after reaching level 930, I’ve given up all hope of finding one of these cosmically rare emblems.

Valve talks about the Immortal Treasure III:

In addition to these items, each of these treasures you open also offers increasing odds to receive a very rare Golden version of the Queen of Pain item, or an ultra rare bundle for Witch Doctor. You might even unearth a rare haul of Battle Points, or the cosmically rare Emblem of the Crystal Echelon.” - Source

Even though I love the items in the treasure, the best part about the Immortal Treasure III for me is the rare item in the form of 50 Battle Pass levels. This means that if you get a bit lucky, you could find yourself with a much higher Battle Pass than before. As I am so close to that Collector’s Aegis of Champions, this treasure comes as a great relief to my wallet and I’m sure many players will be ecstatic about the treasure as well.

Apart from the Immortal Treasure III release, The International Compendium has also been updated, revealing this year’s roster of broadcast talents. Further, there is a small list of bug fixes and general changes deployed with the latest update, which you can read about below:

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to cause Monkey King's Primal Spring activation sound to play at different location than it would be cast.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Monkey King from drawing creep aggro for a short time when attacking out of Mischief.
  • Monkey King may now transform into an Arcane Rune.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Morphling's Morph to gain certain abilities even if the morphed hero had not yet skilled them (e.g. Ogre Magi's Multicast).
  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to ping the real version of a hero if they had them selected before using illusion-creating abilities such as Manta Style and Doppleganger, which randomize the position of the hero.

General Changes:

  • Enchanted Mangoes are now initially sellable at full price for ten seconds after they are purchased.
  • Increased the number of Pro Circuit Prediction Tokens given per week to 60
