Kingdom Come: Deliverance producer wishes they had more time to polish the game

Kingdom Come: Deliverance, developed by Warhorse Studios, is a daunting, realistic and unforgettable open-world RPG. I fell in love with the game and its down-to-earth protagonist Henry when I reviewed the game last week but noted that the game is filled with bugs and glitches. You have to have patience with the game if you want to play it in its current state, but the experience will be well worth it in the end.

The game’s Executive Producer, Martin Klíma, recently took to the game’s official forums and talked to fans, admitting that he wishes they had more time to polish up the experience before release, stating that: “I freely admit though that I wish we had more time to polish the game before the release, that’s what AAA game deserves.

Yes, the game has a bunch of issues that sometimes broke immersion for me, but it looks like the game’s community is very supportive and aren’t going all crazy when they encounter bugs. Mr Klíma finished his talk with the community by thanking them, calling them “the best fans a game could wish for” and further adding that “seldom did I see such a mature, reasonable and supportive community”.

Keep in mind that the game grew out of a successful Kickstarter campaign and funding was, of course, limited. Time constraints in creating such a massive and reactive open-world will, of course, lead to some bugs and issues. Sure, the game has a lot, but remember that the developer is actively working on improving the experience.

Last week, they already announced that an update is coming (which should be released sometime next week) which will include a lot of bug fixes. The developer is also working on improving infuriating game systems and making the experience in 15th-century Bohemia even better than it already is.
