Ubisoft reportedly has 2 unannounced AAA games set to release before April 2019

Ubisoft has really been hitting the mark with some of their titles, for example, Watch Dogs 2 and the awesome South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Far Cry 5 also looks fantastic and we know that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is in development. Then, the publisher also has The Crew 2 (Check out our hands-on straight from E3 2017) as well as Skull & Bones set to release in the next fiscal year (April 2018 to March 2019).

Now, it seems like they have been working hard on two more games that have not even been announced yet, but those games will release before April 2019. The news was reported by Gamerant with the source being a post on Resetera, following Ubisoft’s annual report. Please remember that things can change over the course of a year and you should still take this information with a grain of salt.

With that being said, it will be very interesting to see which two AAA titles Ubisoft is working on that we don’t know about. With Beyond Good & Evil 2 confirmed to be in development, it can’t be that, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t something to get hyped about. Earlier this month, we reported on a rumour about the Assassin's Creed: Dynasty leak, but I don’t think we will see another Assassin’s Creed so quickly after Origins.

My best guess would be Watch Dogs 3. The original wasn’t bad, but Watch Dogs 2 eclipsed it in every way. The first one released in May 2014, while the second instalment released on 15 November. Going by those release dates, it is possible that the next Watch Dogs could be one of the unannounced games.

Since Ubisoft is really into the whole games-as-a-service model, the second guess would be The Division 2, as the franchise does have potential, even though the original did have a lot of issues. Heck, maybe we will even see a new Splinter Cell. Whatever the case may be, we will probably hear something more concrete at E3 2018.
