10 Games to buy this Christmas

Best games to buy this Christmas.jpg

With 2017 being an epic year for gaming in general, I thought that it was a no-brainer that I recommend 10 of the best games that released this year that you should buy. These games were the best of the best and if anything, they will keep you very busy this December while you put your feet up and take in that well-deserved break.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

The ultimate edition of Resident Evil 7 is a must for all horror crazy people out there. It has the awesome main game as well as the DLC released for it that includes the Banned Footage, Not a Hero, and the final piece of content, The End of Zoe. The Gold Edition is the complete experience of Resident Evil 7 and a must for anyone who has been looking to try the game.

Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4)

Aloy is everyone's new PlayStation mascot as her journey through the post-apocalyptic world stole everyone's hearts. Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the best PS4 exclusives ever made and it should be experienced by everyone. You can grab the Gold Edition of the game that contains the main game plus new outfits and the chunky Frozen Wilds expansion pack that will extend the story as Aloy adventures into new territories to face off against even bigger machines.

Super Mario Odyssey (Switch)

Super Mario Odyssey's magic can only be described in one word, masterpiece. This adventure is no doubt one everyone needs to experience as Mario sets off on a trip around the world to save Princess Peach from the no good Bowser...again. Mario visits all sorts of awesome places as he explores jungles, giant beaches, the cloud kingdom and much more. If you own a Switch then this is the game you want. If you don't, then maybe it is about time you got one?

Assassin's Creed: Origins (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Explore Egypt from the comfort of your couch? Sounds like a plan to me. Assassin's Creed: Origins is the much-needed reboot of the series as Bayek, the first in the Assassin Brotherhood, sets off to seek vengeance for the death of his son. Little does he know that the Order of the Ancient is pulling the strings in Egypt and he cannot trust anyone. The game has all the stealth action we love from the series with a gorgeous open world and a brand new loot system that will make your inner RPG fan very happy.

Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package (PS4)

Those who thought Dead Rising 4 would never release on PS4 were very wrong. We got Frank's Big Package and it is well, big. The game includes all DLC content released in the past on Xbox One plus new Christmas-themed content and the Capcom Heroes mode too that lets you play the entire campaign dressed as popular Capcom heroes with special abilities.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is everything the first game was and much more. More guns, more blood, more awesome characters and of course more Nazis. If you are looking for an awesome shooter to play this December, then this is no doubt the game right here.

Call of Duty: WWII (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Boots on the ground and it is about time. The latest Call of Duty finally went back to its origins and it is awesome. No more jetpacks, spaceships and laser beams, just one man and one gun. The game is set during World War II and comes packed with a solid new multiplayer, fantastic single player experience and of course the Nazi zombies that will see you and your friends blowing zombies up until all hours of the morning.

Injustice 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

No doubt the best fighting game of the year. Injustice 2 is the DC film we never got in 2017 as its story campaign is great and its roster of fighters is even better than the first game. Thanks to its unique gear system, Injustice 2 promises a post-game grind where you will try to make all your favourite heroes and villains look as awesome as possible. There is much fun to be had in this fighter.

Hellblade (PS4, PC)

Hellblade is not your average game at all but we recommend it for its unique approach to its gameplay and of course the way it tackles mental illness by immersing players into Senua's mind as she overcomes the challenges that she faces in the game. This game is best played alone with headphones on so you can teleport away into another world where interactive media has been used to attack an issue most of us suffer from.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (PS4)

Team up with Nadine and Chloe in this bite-sized Uncharted adventure as they explore India in search of lost treasure. Of course, they are not alone as everyone wants treasures these days. You will explore gorgeous environments, seek lost treasure and of course watch epic action scenes play out in front of you as we all know Uncharted and how great the action is.

What do you recommend are the must-buy games for December? Let us know in the comments below.
