The PlayStation Free-For-All Soccer Tournament was alive and kicking

MWEB GameZone hosted our Free-For-All Soccer Tournament this past Friday, 20 October 2017. The name of the game for this event was FIFA 18 and we issued 60 free golden tickets to eager FIFA fans.

Prizes/giveaways up for grabs included an R3,000 cash prize pool, official FIFA soccer balls from Puma, Takealot vouchers, and limited editions of the FIFA 18 game from PlayStation. Thank you to all our sponsors.

The MCave was a hive of activities. The event kicked off just after 6 pm. All activities were administered by ACGL and included a Foos table, foot bowling, FIFA 18 challenges/tournaments and free gameplay. We had a great turn out with everyone taking part. Free drinks and pizzas with all the required food groups were consumed throughout the evening.

As it was a “Free-for-All” event, pro and casual gamers challenged each other in all-out action to the very end of the evening.  We had winners from both sides. The 1v1 and 2v2 tournaments were intense to the very end. The “King of the Hill” challenge had people queuing up to get the highest shootout score. The Foot Bowling challenge featured a real bowling alley and skittles.

We would like to thank PlayStation as our main sponsor. The event would not have been possible without PlayStation’s support. The limited edition of the FIFA 18 game included a shirt, game code, 12 000 in-game credits (worth R1 300), gold controller and more. Don’t forget to visit PlayStation at the Canal Walk Gaming Expo (powered by BT Games & Good Hope FM) between 24 to 27 October.

Looking forward to our next event … hopefully soon!
