The Division gets free weekend on PC

The Division free weekend.jpg

"With the recent release of The Division’s 1.7 Update and the upcoming fall release of the 1.8 Resistance Update, there’s never been a better time to take to the streets and fight for what’s left of Manhattan," announced Ubisoft a few hours ago. PC gamers can join the resistance when The Division releases for free on September 14th. The Division is also going on sale with up to 60% discount via the Ubisoft Store, and all your progress from the free weekend will carry over to the full game.

The Division free PC weekend

  • Pre-load: Available now on UPlay
  • Hard drive space required: 44.32GB
  • Launch time: 6 pm UK time on 14 September
  • SA launch time: 7 pm on 14 September
  • End date: 9 pm UK time on 17 September
  • SA end date: 10 pm on 17 September

The Division Standard and Gold Editions will both go on sale over the weekend with discounts of up to 60%. Currently, the game sells for R699 (Standard Edition) and R1299 for the Gold Edition.

In spite of The Division's post launch problems, we highly recommended it for the "contagiously engrossing" single-player campaign, as well as its end game content. At 60% discount, it's a definite must buy.
