Reminisce with Geralt as CDPR celebrates The Witcher's ten-year anniversary

CD Projekt Red released a new video wherein Geralt of Rivia invites fans to share a few moments with him talking about his good old days of witching. The video celebrates The Witcher series' tenth anniversary and again confirms the end of his adventure.

The first Witcher game released on 26 October 2007 as a PC exclusive, and The Wild Hunt on 19 May 2015 as a multi-platform game. Geralt has been one of gaming's most iconic characters, and The Witcher 3 one of the best games ever made. It's hard to believe that Geralt is spending his days now drinking wine, playing Gwent and getting up to mischief with old friends.

It's unclear if Geralt's final adventure was indeed the conclusion of the series, as CD Projekt Red hinted at a continuation of the series. However, if another Witcher game does surface, it won't be with Geralt of Rivia as the lead. According to this post on Eurogamer, there might be another Witcher game some day: " This is a bit more believable. Turns out that when CDPR studio head Adam Badowski said The Witcher 3 would be the last Witcher game, what he really meant was it would be the last game of this trilogy. "This is the last part of the trilogy, in which there will be a great finale of the story. However, this doesn't mean the end of franchise," CDPR CEO Adam Kicinski told Polish Press Agency (translated by Eurogamer Poland.)

For now, CDPR will be working on the next big game; Cyberpunk 2077, which promises to be even bigger than Witcher 3.
