PlayStation Plus August free games lineup is awesomesauce

PlayStation Plus August 1.jpg

Yesterday, Microsoft detailed the August Games with Gold lineup, and although it wasn't what we expected, it's not too bad. PlayStation Plus on the other hand, is getting a better than awesome lineup for this coming month.

Before we get to the awesomesauce, let's talk about the bonus title for August. Fun times with social game, "That's You" is not coming to an end on Monday, but will continue throughout the month of August. If you haven't tried it yet, then make your next date night a games night. "The only thing you need to know is each other," and you're in for an evening of hilarious fun.

You'll need to clear some hard drive space to make room for Just Cause 3's Medici - one of the biggest open-worlds in gaming." You're looking at almost 40GB of Mediterranean island paradise. Yours to explore, sow mayhem, and liberate from the clutches of an evil dictator. You can use a wingsuit, blow things up, drive a tank, grapple and parachute, and always have fun in the beautiful Medici.

"There really is nothing like parachuting into a base, planting C4 on a number of structures, flying away, blowing these all up simultaneously, watching enemies scramble, grappling onto an enemy helicopter and flying that into more structures. Just Cause 3, in reality, does one thing - but it does that one thing well. There is a wonderful flow to this: the flying, the grappling into a parachute, the shooting, the explosions. The flow is what makes it work and what keeps bringing me back," just some of our thoughts about Just Cause 3 when we played it back in December 2015.

The third game worth mentioning is Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry, the standalone Black Flag spinoff. You play as Adewale, a slave who found freedom as a pirate on the Black Flag. You are now a trained assassin and set out to find a ship and crew. According to PlayStation EU, you can "Expect death-defying acrobatics, copious bloodletting and a few pesky Templars trying to do something dastardly."
