The Steam Summer Sale starts this week

Steam Summer Sale.jpg

As we reported in May, the Steam Summer Sale will indeed kick off on 22 June. The date was leaked by a developer who claimed Valve emailed him the dates. Yesterday, PayPal also made an early announcement via Twitter, confirming the same date. Since the PayPal leak Valve has confirmed that PC gaming's biggest annual sale will indeed kick off tomorrow. It is safe to assume the closing date leaked by the developer is also correct.

  • Steam Summer Sale Begins - June 22, 2017, 6 pm BST
  • Steam Summer Sale Ends - July 5, 2017

PayPal also announced a £5 discount for customers who spend £20 at Steam during the sale. The offer ends on July 5 (again confirming the closing date). "Spend a minimum of £20 and get £5 off your purchase when you pay with PayPal at Steam. Use by 5th July 2017."

Talking about Steam sales, if you've not yet played This War Of Mine, then you can grab it at 80% discount for R43.80 until this Thursday. We reviewed the mobile version, and according to our writer, This War of Mine is a must play, plain and simple. I have never experienced a sense of dread quiet like what the game offers. It’s a unique look at war and the effects it has on civilians that opened my eyes to the suffering people can and must endure.

Is your wallet ready? I am hoping to grab some Indie titles on sale, just so I can add more games to my backlog.
