All the awesome PS VR games shown off at E3 2017

E3 2017 PSVR games.jpg

Sony’s E3 Press Conference showed off what PS4 gamers wanted to see the most, all the amazing exclusives coming to their system. It was arguably the best showing at this year’s E3, but it wasn’t just about your standard PS4 games. Sony also announced a large number of PlayStation VR (PS VR) titles for those with the headset to look forward to.

I know not everyone owns a PS VR headset, myself included, but the games shown off at this year’s E3 makes me want one more than ever. One of the first games I played when I purchased my PS4 was Until Dawn, as I enjoy horror games. I loved Until Dawn (our reviewer called it “The new canvas of horror”), developed by Supermassive Games, which is one of the reasons why Sony’s PS VR line-up at E3 has made the PS VR headset claim the top spot on my shopping list. Sure, PS VR is an expensive piece of tech, but judging by the games coming to the device, it might just be worth it.

Below, you can find all the games coming to PS VR shown at E3, starting with my favourite one of the bunch. The videos are obviously reformatted for non-VR purposes, but we simply can’t wait to try them out on the PS VR.

The Inpatient

  • Release date: TBA

“The Inpatient is a horror game with psychological elements. It places you in the role of a patient with amnesia and is set in the Blackwood Sanatorium, over 60 years prior to the award-winning Until Dawn. Anyone familiar with Until Dawn will recognize the imposing sanatorium but this time you’ll see everything as it was during its 1950s heyday.

For newcomers to the story, don’t worry – you don’t need to have played Until Dawn to be able to enjoy The Inpatient; it’s an entirely standalone title with a brand new story and cast of characters to meet.”

Moss

  • Release date: TBA

“Moss tells the tale of the first adventure of an unlikely hero named Quill—a small mouse from a remote forest settlement who is fated to be the key in a much larger story. One day while exploring the woods she finds a mysterious stone and an ancient magic is awakened, linking you together in an extraordinary alliance. In gameplay, her skills are complementary to yours.

You’ll guide her actions through familiar action-adventure controls, while also directly manipulating the field of play as your own character. Mutual communication and shared victories will only strengthen your connection to each other and further your joint resolve.”

Bravo Team

  • Release date: TBA

“Bravo Team is a first person PlayStation VR cover shooter set in a fictional, modern day city in Eastern Europe. When an escort mission goes wrong it’s up to you and a teammate to survive as the city is thrown into turmoil. You’ll need to think on your feet, work together and battle through an intense journey of close calls and chaotic firefights.

Teamwork is vital to survive and Bravo Team has been developed for both single player and online two player co-op with an active PS Plus membership. Our levels and enemy situations are designed to test your ability to work as a team. Calling targets, covering fire and constant communication are the difference between success and failure.”

“Sparc is a vSport - a unique physical sport only possible in virtual reality, in which players compete in fast-paced, full-body VR gameplay and connect in an online community.Players use their motion controllers to throw projectiles at their opponents from a distance, and in turn defend themselves by dodging, blocking, or deflecting the incoming attacks.
