PlayStation games on sale.jpg

It's another great week of gaming for PlayStation owners. On the storefront the biggest news is the release of Ghost Recon: Wildlands, but the news I'm most excited to share today is our top ten picks from the Totally Digital Sale and the PlayStation Plus Double Discounts of the week.

I'll first give you a breakdown of the store highlights for 8 - 14 March before we talk about our top 10 picks currently on sale on the PlayStation Store.

Top 10 PlayStation games on sale

The Totally Digital Sale offers up to 60% discount, while the  PlayStation Plus Double Discounts grants up to 70%. Some of the deals include a nice discount on pre-order titles, so you should definitely grab it while on sale.

Our first pick is Blackwood Crossing at 20% discount for R204 PS Plus or R255. It releases in April, and what we've seen of the world promises a captivating and beautiful experience. The first thing you'll notice about Blackwood Crossing is the art style - I can imagine that playing it would feel like you're walking inside a painting. It's a first-person adventure game and hopefully it will deliver something in the lines of what we had with Unravel. The developer, PaperSeven, describes the game as "a magical voyage, steeped in life, love and loss."

Our second pick is another Indie title, but one that already has a legacy of triumph - The LIMBO/Inside Bundle. Both titles fall under my top games ever played, and you can grab it at 62% discount for only R159. Our reviewer described Inside as "A million shades of gorgeously displayed despair," and I can't think of a better way to describe the experience. My time with LIMBO left me with the impression that I was hovering between the edge of beauty and horror throughout the game. Number three has to go to No Man's Sky as its currently available at 30% discount for R440, and just this morning it received another free update which adds PS4 Pro support, further improves visuals, adds new vehicles (Exocraft), a photo mode, Quality of Life Improvements, and lots more.

At number 4 for this week is SOMA because you can grab this magnificent horror experience for only R129 (71% discount). XCOM 2 takes the fifth spot at 25% discount for R599, and Valiant Hearts: The Great War comes in at number 6. It's another amazing Indie title and you can buy it at a massive 71% discount for R69. Mad Max received mixed reviews, even from our own writers, but would agree that the game is a must play at 37% discount. It's a "beautiful ballet of destruction" and a celebration of open-world game design.

Our last three spots go to Republique (R304), Firewatch (R159) and ABZÛ (R159). All three games have a distinct mark of creative genius and deserve your time and admiration.
