Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 delayed for fourth time

I am always in favour of delaying a game, but this is getting ridiculous. CI Games announced that Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 will not release on April 4 but three weeks later, on April 25.  It marks the fourth delay of the game, but as I've said in my beta impressions of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, there were a few very serious issues and glitches the developer had to fix before the final release. Three weeks are not long to wait for what could be the best game in the series.

“We’ve worked tirelessly creating a whole new Sniper Ghost Warrior experience set in an ambitiously crafted open world new to the series,” said said Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games. “While it’s an unfortunate decision to delay the game one last time, we believe these final changes will result in a better experience for players worldwide on day one. Thank you for your patience – we know the wait will be worth it.”

The small amount of time I had in the beta promised a game that could be immensely satisfying for gamers who are fans of the genre. I am sure CI Games will iron out the last few kinks to deliver a game fans deserve.

"Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 tells the story of brotherhood, faith and betrayal in the most complete sniper experience ever. Take the role of an American sniper named Jonathan North, who is dropped into enemy territory in northern Georgia, nearby Russian borders. Explore large open-world maps with dynamic weather and a day and night cycle that actually impacts play and decisions. Customize weapon equipment, accessories, vehicles and a drone, and utilize the three pillars of gameplay to your liking: Sniper, Ghost and Warrior.  Press release

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 releases on April 25 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Below is a 16-minute gameplay video by World of Games showcasing a part of the single-player campaign during a snow mission.
