Can your PC handle Doom's new hell?

Bethesda released the minimum and recommend PC requirements for Doom. It differs a bit from the list released in 2015, but the conclusion is the same. If you've got an old lady she is going to struggle with 2016's entry to Hell. And that required hard drive space :S. Bethesda also released the pre-load and unlock times.

Before we look at those specs, don't forget that we're celebrating Doom's release on Friday, May 13th with the MSI Vortex launch - and you're invited. There will be prizes, food, and a hell of a lot of fun. See here for details.

Doom Minimum PC requirements

  • Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
  • Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 55 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 670 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or better
  • Contains a single disc.
  • Download of additional files from Steam (total amount 45 GB) is required to run the game.
  • Requires Steam activation and broadband internet connection for Multiplayer and SnapMap.

Doom Recommended PC requirements

  • Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
  • Intel Core i7-3770/AMD FX-8350 or better
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 55 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 970 4GB/AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB or better
  • Contains a single disc.
  • Download of additional files from Steam (total amount 45 GB) is required to run the game.
  • Requires Steam activation and broadband internet connection for Multiplayer and SnapMap

Hell unlock times

  • Steam Preloading -  Begins at 12 AM ET on May 11th

Game Launch Unlock and Server Launch:

  • Australia/New Zealand @ 12 am AEST
  • North America @ 12 am ET
  • Europe @ 12 am GMT +1
  • Japan/South Korea/Rest of Asia – 12 am Japan

DOOM releases on 13 May 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
