Everything you need to know about Call of Duty: Black Ops III

Last night Treyarch finally released the official Call of Duty Black Ops 3 reveal trailer as well as a a stack of game info ranging from plot, multiplayer, classes and release dates, to name but a few. Before we work through the game details, let's allow the reveal trailer to answer that controversial question, Is Black Ops III a Deus Ex clone?

No, it's still Call of Duty. What say you?Black Ops III will release on November 6 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. According to Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia, they are not currently working on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or Wii U versions.

Four-player, co-op Campaign

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 campaign plays off in 2060, 35 years after Black Ops 2 conclusion. Countries from around the world have acquired a technology called DEAD (Directed Energy Air Defense) which has disabled air forces from being effective instruments of war. Military forces have become the most effective combat tool, as a result of the paralyzed Air Force.

DNI (Direct Neutral Interface)  is a brand new technology that has changed the way soldiers interact with the world. DNI allows soldiers to integrate their physiology with computer systems. Examples of ways the humans integrate themselves with technology range from enhanced limbs to having the ability to hack remote equipment with your mind.

In addition, the Black Ops 3 campaign can be played with up to four friends.

Skill-based matchmaking changes

Ali-A the Call of Duty guy, visited Treyarch's Black Ops 3 studio a while back. He confirmed that BLOPS III's matchmaking system will be similar to that of Black Ops II as opposed to that of Advanced Warfare. A lot of Call of Duty fans complained about the intense skill-based matchmaking of Advanced Warfare, so it's a good move on Treyarch's part to lean more towards the Black Ops II system.
