- Select the “Automatic Updates” tab.
- Tick the “Automatic” radio box.
- Click the OK button.
Use Antivirus and Anti-spyware Software
There is malicious software on the Internet designed to infiltrate your computer and damage it or compromise your privacy. To ensure that you are protected from these, you need to install antivirus and anti-spyware software.
MWEB has teamed up with international security experts, AVG, to provide you with a comprehensive software package, which protects your computer against viruses and spyware for free.
Use a Firewall
Hardware and software firewalls protect computers from hackers and malicious software gaining access to your computer. Many routers have a built-in firewall, however, if you use a normal ADSL modem or use another type of Internet Access product you should install a firewall, or use the existing Windows Firewall on your machine.
