A Data Centre Management Contract (DCMC) enables you to install your own servers – regardless of brand, make or model – in the MWEB data centre, where they are managed by the MWEB Advanced Support Centre team.
This contract offers support on third-party applications on your server, while the MWEB Business’s support team monitors and administers the server’s operating system infrastructure. A DCMC works in conjunction with a Network Maintenance Contract and ensures that all the computing devices you have in the data centre are monitored and updated according to your instructions and in line with best practices. Three hourly rate support options are available.
MWEB’s Advanced Support Centre is permanently manned, with technicians on call 24 hours a day to provide telephonic, remote or onsite support. The team includes engineers skilled in networking (Cisco); operating systems (Microsoft Windows 2003 and 2008, including Active Directory); Linux (Red Hat) and Back Office Products (Microsoft Exchange Server and SQL Server).
Change control and remote access control are determined at the start of the contract. While you remain responsible for your hardware, MWEB will administer any vendor hardware maintenance contract on your behalf to ensure the quickest possible resolution times.
Because MWEB Business has server skills, an operating error need not result in a significant loss of productivity for your business. MWEB will control access, load patches and updates and ensure the servers are running error free, giving you both peace of mind and maximum uptime.
