E-mail : Microsoft Outlook Setup

  1. Click on the icon highlighted below next to the Start button.

  2. Or select Start - Programs - Microsoft Outlook.

  3. Or select Start - Programs - Microsoft Outlook.

  4. To create a new account click on Tools in the menu at the top of the screen. In the menu, select the Accounts tab.

  5. The Internet Accounts window will now open. In the new window, select the Mail tab.

    Type in your name and surname, or company name, in the "Display name" field (when you send an e-mail to someone, this is the name that they will see).

    • Click on the Add button.
    • Click on Mail in the sub-menu.

  6. The Internet connection wizard window will appear.

    Type in your name and surname, or company name, in the "Display name" field (when you send an e-mail to someone, this is the name that they will see).

    Click Next.

  7. Using lowercase, type in the e-mail address you were given when you opened your  MWEB account.

  8. Select POP3 as your incoming mail server type. Fill in your username/account name and password in the relevant spaces (not your e-mail address). Note that the username and password are case-sensitive. Selecting Remember password is optional.

    Type the Incoming and Outgoing mail server names in lowercase in the relevant spaces.

    Select your mail server names. Click Next.

    Do not check Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA).

    Click Next.

  10. Select the first option, Connect using my phone line..

    Click Next.

  11. Select Use an existing dial-up connection. Then select your dial-up connection from the list in the white box below.

    Click Next.

  12. Click Finish.

  13. The Internet Accounts window now contains your new account.Click on Close at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

  14. You are back in the main window of Microsoft Outlook. Click the Send / Receive button to check for new e-mail messages.
