E-mail : Configuring your Cellphone/Blackberry

Important: If you're an iPhone user and wish to configure your iPhone 
to manage your MWEB e-mail, use these iPhone instructions instead.

When setting up your mobile phone, be it a normal cellphone or a smartphone such as a Blackberry, always try to use your standard MWEB e-mail settings first, for example:

Incoming: pop3.mweb.co.za (pop3 dot mweb dot co dot za)
Outgoing: smtp.mweb.co.za (smtp dot mweb dot co dot za)

If you have an mweb.co.za mailbox, the above POP3 setting should always work for your incoming mail, regardless of whether you're accessing your mailbox from your computer or your cellphone.  However, if for any reason the above SMTP setting (for mail you want to send) should not work, please try the alternate settings below.

  • Vodacom: smtp.vodacom.co.za or smtp.vodamail.co.za
  • MTN: mail.mtn.co.za or mail.mtnice.co.za
  • Cell C / Virgin Mobile: mail.cmobile.co.za or smtp.cellc.co.za
