Email Client Setup Guide : Outlook 2010

 

Microsoft Outlook comes with Microsoft Office and is a powerful, PC based E-mail client. With built in archiving, rules and junkmail filters. It's ideal for the e-mail power user. This setup guide covers Outlook 2010 and later versions.

STEP 1

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2010
  2. Choose File and then Info from the top menu bar
  3. Click the Add Account Button

 

STEP 2

  1. Select Manually configure Server Settings or additional server types
  2. Click Next

 

STEP 3

  1. Select Internet E-Mail
  2. Click Next

 

STEP 4

  1. Fill in your User Information
  2. Fill in the Server Information
  3. Fill in your Logon Information
  4. Tick Remember Password
  5. Click More Settings

 

STEP 5

  1. Select the Outgoing Server tab
  2. Tick My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
  3. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server
  4. Select the Advanced Tab
  5. Set the Outgoing Server (SMTP) port to 587
  6. Click Ok
  7. Click Next
