I run my own business from home which is pretty challenging in terms of achieving a work life balance and ensuring I have the correct infrastructure to make it successful. The connected nature of the world we live in allows me to work with clients from across the country without travelling to meet them. As long as I am online, I am accessible!
What does your Internet set up look like?
My wife doesn't quite understand how I can be on a VoIP call on my iPad while responding to emails on my laptop and scrolling through my Twitter stream on my phone, but not be able to read the newspaper and listen to her at the same time (go figure, right?). Since I upgraded to MWEB Uncapped ADSL on a 1 Meg line, I've upped my efficiency and actually saved on some of my telecoms costs.

I spend a lot of time on LinkedIn – which is THE social networking site for professionals. Ted Talks is a repository of inspiring video content that allows me to shape my world. I use Fin24 when I need to catch up on the latest in global and local financial news.
My Setup

I've connected my laptop and iPad to the printer which does just about everything but wash the dog!

I could pretty much ruin my business using this device alone! It quickly connects to the wireless router so I don't have to pay for data I use while at home/work.
Plantronics CS60-USB Wireless Headset
Most of my client meetings are conducted over VoIP (so much easier and cheaper) – this headset offers great sound quality.
