The Pulse Pounding Heart Stopping Dating Sim Jam

From the 5-7 April, Tumblronians joined forces to create games for the first annual #PPHSJAM (you know how everyone loves a good hashtag). As made clear by the start and finish dates, entrants had 48 hours to create a dating simulation game. The definition of a “dating sim” was left open in order that indie devs would let their imagination run wild – and run wild they certainly did:

You always know that a game is going to be amusing at the very least when it comes with a warning like

The characters of this dating sim do not represent any real people, living or dead. The fetishes and sexual acts represent neither those of the creator nor anyone known by the creator. Thank you for downloading and have fun

@DankHerbMullet “My Dating Sim”

You can download that beauty here.

A couple of titles that I found especially intriguing include:

(Screenshots by Michelle Starr/CNET Australia)

Jurassic Heart: A Japanese visual novel-style game about winning the heart of a shy T-rex named Taira.

Getting Chomped By A Beautiful Woman That You Respect A lot: I’m guessing that’s the main story line, but I’m really excited to see how one gets to the point of being “chomped”.

Cuddlefish: A game examining the feels of a lusty male cuttlefish.

Wario Date: Will Wario find true love? Will he defeat the greatest thread the Mushroom Kingdom has ever faced with the power of his riches? Or will he realize that, all along, he already had everything he needed right at home? That is up to you to decide!”

I shall be playing some of these games throughout the day and shall let you know how that goes. To see the full round-up of all entries, look here.
