Sequel to the 'Best Selling Sniper Game' gets a launch date

On March 15 2013, South African gamers will be able to get their hands on Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, the sequel to the "best selling sniper game of all time".

The game promises a "striking graphic environment" courtesy of the of the game's use of the newly developed CtyENGINE3 -  'CryENGINE®3 is the fastest high-end renderer in the world, with new features specifically designed for PC, Xbox 360™ and Playstation®3."- taken from the Crytek website. This follows hot on the heels of Crysis 3 that will use the same engine and is due for release on 19 February 2013. Interestingly enough, the original release date for Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 was end 2012, which would have put it ahead of Crysis 3, but I guess maybe there were some "high level discussions" had.

Sniper fans are also promised "more diverse sniper challenges; a rebuilt AI system and the thrilling “one shot; one kill” precision that made the original a huge hit" and "unparalleled levels of realism in weaponry, ballistics and environmental factors".

If sniping is your game, then this is the title for you! Playing on your console won't make you itch as much as rolling around doing the real thing in a  Ghillie suit. Just make sure your cat is not watching you play!

The game will be available on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
