Grand Theft Auto "World" - The Next Gen Title?

As the release of Grand Theft Auto V is predicted to hit us early next year, the latest title is set to be 3 times the size of Grand Theft Auto IV. With the world of GTA expanding rapidly we can't help but wonder if the team over at Rockstar are thinking about doing a one world game. A GTA title that includes all the previous titles into one massive turns out that is exactly what they are thinking.

In a recent interview from digitaltrends with Leslie Benzies (video game producer at Rockstar), there were several discussions regarding the latest title to hit mobile devices, GTA: Vice City the 10th anniversary edition. The main discussion rotates around the general thought process in the development of the original Vice City. However, when the discussion started to lean towards the latest title and the future of the GTA series Benzie had the following to say:

"Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas, and in that context reimagining Vice City would be very interesting."-Leslie Benzies

So what are we looking at as the future possibility of the Grand Theft Auto franchise? Well, as we approach the eve of the next generation of console, so we look at all the possible games that might come. With this latest information from Benzies, we might be able to see a one world GTA title for the next generation of console. Yes it might just be an idea, but an idea from someone who has been involved with Grand Theft Auto for a decade may become a reality.

Do you find this proposed world of a "One World" Grand Theft Auto title at all possible or do you think that its a proposed plan bound to fail? Let us know by commenting below or hitting us up on one of the following social networks.
