I was introduced to the Indie game genre by Free Bird Games’s To The Moon.
This game enchanted me with its heart wrenching story and alluring music. It
cured me of my obsession with AAA titles, mindless shooting games and
repetitive gameplay. It left me a changed gamer, forever searching for games
that are able to touch me on an emotional and deeply personal level. It took me
to the moon and left me there.
“It’s simple, poignant, and
full of heart.”- PC World (GamePro) 10/10
To the Moon is the bittersweet tale of a dying man’s wish to
reconnect with his childhood sweetheart. This is made possible by science, a
love that refuses to let go and origami rabbits. The game is filled with
moments of dry humour, peculiar experiments and music that makes the world stop
with the magnitude of its beauty.
You can play the game for free for one hour, or download the
full version from here. To
the Moon will also be available on Steam from 7 September. Developer Kan Gao promises that episode
two is in the making. The game is only a few hours long, but the journey it
takes you on will stay with you forever.

Take a moment off from the clutter that fills your day and
