The Complete List - July 2015 Video Game Releases

July Games.jpg

We've had so many spectacular video game releases in the first half of 2015 that it's almost a relief that July is a bit on the quiet side. I'm sure we all have a stack of games to work through. However, if you do feel like a new game, then you can grab the PlayStation 4 exclusive, God of War III Remastered, or the new F1 game for PS4, Xbox One and PC. There's also the SMITE open beta for Xbox One players coming in July.

Update

The Odd Gentleman announced the release date for the first chapter of the King's Quest reboot. If you feel like a classic adventure game, then it doesn't get better than King's Quest. See details at the bottom section of the article.

But first, let's take a look at the 1TB PlayStation 4 that releases in South Africa in July.

SMITE Open Beta for Xbox One

Release date: 8 July

Mode: Multiplayer

Game Info: In Smite, the players avatar is that of a mythological god or mythological figure. Each god has unique abilities and features. These abilities are used with team tactics in a multiplayer, online battle arena game  against other player-controlled gods and non-player controlled minions.

Gameplay: The third person perspective in Smite allows for the MOBA to move away from the click-targeting, that works so well on PC, and towards a more action-based game than other titles in the genre. In Smite, you point your god in the direction you want to attack and hack away at your enemies. Despite the game initially releasing on PC, some players have admittedly stated that they prefer playing with the controller.
