Overwhelming negative user reviews push Arkham Knight from Steam front page

User reviews: Mostly Negative (6,846 reviews)

Bats is sad, and it's a sad day in Gotham.

Even though critics hailed Batman: Arkham Knight as "An impressive game on every level," with some stating it is "the perfect Batman game", the PC version told a different story. At the time of writing negative Steam user reviews stand at 4 636 and positive user reviews a 2 195, almost half the amount! The fallout for poor Bats is that Arkham: Knight was removed from Steam's front page, as well as from the "featured" page. I am not sure if it's an automated Steam mechanic or if Valve removed Arkham Knight to a sulk somewhere in a dark corner. I would love to know how many obligated Steam refunds Valve had to process.

Arkham Community Manager, "CODA" posted the following message on the official Batman Arkham message board.

Hi all

We're aware that some users are reporting performance issues with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. This is something that Rocksteady takes very seriously. We are working closely with our external PC development partner to make sure these issues get resolved as quickly as possible.

We'll update this thread when we've got more info to share.

There's also a post on Batman: Arkham Knight's Steam page with a reminder that customers can refund their purchase, as well as a guide on how to fix some of the issues. You can check out our five tips to fix both Nvidia and AMD graphics card  issues.

The biggest problem seems to be the fact that the PC version is capped at 30 frames-per-second. Users are also complaining that even if they follow all the tips and fixes, that their game is still well, broken.

"Other than, you know, I've done all of this already and it still wont go above 25fps unless I'm standing still..."

The PC horde is not happy.  Can't blame them.
