MSSA sends team to compete in 2011 IeSF World Championships

Once again friends, family, officials and members of the media gathered at the Old Edwardian Society in Lower Houghton, Johannesburg, to witness yet another MSSA award ceremony.

The award ceremony held on Monday, 3 October 2011 was for Mind Sports South Africa's official team that will compete in the 2011 IeSF World Championship to be held in Andong, South Korea from 6 to 10 October 2011.

The team will compete in two games, being FIFA Online™ and StarCraft II™.

It may be of interest to readers to note that the MSSA has participated in the IeSF's events right from the inception of the IeSF, and the South African team has not only always held its own, but has always been able to forge strong friendships among the international players.

The gathered audience enthusiastically showed their support for the team as the two cyber athletes stepped forard to receive their Protea Colours.

The team departs South Africa on 4 October 2011 to arrive in South Korea on 5 October 2011.
