The Sims 3 Pets Review (PS3)

The console version of The Sims 3 Pets is set in the town of Sugar Maple Coast. If you have previously played The Sims 3 on a console, then The Sims 3 Pets is more like an expansion. It has the same graphics, controls and interfaces. The Sims 3 Pets enhances the entertainment value with the addition of pets and mystery challenges.

I was able to control various breeds of cats and dogs in same way you would control human characters. I really like the way pets learn from their interactions and challenges. Each pet can have their own personalities which make them behave accordingly. As with all Sims games, the AI is very intelligent and actions are varied. I must say that I had a few giggles throughout the game.

The Sims 3 Pets though is not without fault. There are too many loading screens. This mainly occurs when moving around the town. This is a minor issue though.

The Town Hall provides 5 mystery quests. It is really a great addition to the game. This creates an opportunity to explore the town and its inhabitants. You may even meet a few ghosts on the way.

The Sims 3 Pets is an enjoyable game with hours of fun. It keeps you engaged as you nurture your virtual family through digital achievements.
