Kingdom Hearts III goes retro with 20 classic LCD games

Kingdom Hearts III is without a doubt my most anticipated game of the year and the more I see of it the more it makes me happy to know that it is getting better and better as the days go by. The latest info, accompanied by a cool trailer, showcases the game's Classic Kingdom and all the Game and Watch-style games you will be able to play. According to new information, this Classic Kingdom will feature 20 minigames that are unlocked throughout the main game and are playable on Sora's LCD game machine.

These games will be playable before the game's launch later this year as part of the Kingdom Hearts Union X mobile game. These games will tie into Kingdom Hearts III so if you want a taste of what is to come in the third instalment then you best download the mobile game and get up to scratch with it.

According to the latest trailer, the games will look and play like classic Game and Watch titles whereas you will move Sora and other characters across the screen to certain spots, collect items, save Minnie, and even fight enemies as they come trickling down the screen. Those who have ever played a classic LCD game will be familiar with this type of gameplay and to see it Kingdom Hearts-ified is really awesome.

Kingdom Hearts III is without a release date yet but we should know more at E3 this year. So far the game looks great with its recent Monster Inc. announcement and Toy Story world, we are in for a treat when this Disney and Final Fantasy hybrid releases later in 2018 for PS4 and Xbox One. Check out the trailer for the new Classic Kingdom games below.
