Fortnite's Limited Time Mode, 50 vs. 50 (version 2) was supposed to launch this weekend as part of the version 3.5.1 update that added the exciting new Port-A-Fort feature. However, Epic games announced via Reddit that the LTM will be delayed until next week.

"Heya folks, You may have seen information or even a video about the 50v50 v2 Limited Time Mode going live today. Due to the account service issues we’ve been experiencing, and in order to preserve your play experience this weekend, we will be delaying it to next week.  We want you to be able to play Fortnite, and can’t wait to get this mode into your hands ASAP!"

The new 50V50 v2 mode comes with a few important changes. It is still two teams of 50 against each other, but with adjusted loot spawn rates. Farming resources increased with a massive 75%, and floor loot spawns by 15%. Ammo boxes will spawn triple ammo, while chests will spawn double ammo as well as double consumables. Lastly, supply drops will spawn double ammo, an extra consumable, resource drop and trap.

Participants have ten minutes to collect loot before the storm comes in. Supplies will drop in batches of three to six, every two minutes. The loot will only be dropped inside the final Storm circle.

Another important change is that downed players will lose health more quickly than normal, to be exact, at the rate of ten health per tick. There is also a new squad communications wheel, better controller configuration for building, and lastly, the Loot Llama can now be opened through destruction as well as an interaction.

Epic Games didn't indicate exactly when the mode will go live next week. We will update this article as soon as we have those details.
