Everything you need to know about The Gaming Forum 2018 - Tickets, speakers and more

The Gaming Forum 2018.jpg

On 28 March 2018, GameNationSA will be hosting the first ever Gaming Forum. Taking place in Rosebank, Johannesburg it is going to be a fantastic evening of all the best minds in the industry getting together to chat about where we have come from and where we are going. This is across esports, local game development and just the gaming industry in SA in general. The best part about the event is that it welcomes both people who work in the industry and those who just want to come and meet the people who make gaming great in SA. There will also be some great games on show like the upcoming Far Cry 5 and South African-born Jengo, which is one of our most anticipated games of 2018. Yes, you will finally be able to play it!

I will be there will Pippa Tshabalala and a handful of awesome people as guest speakers touching on some rather interesting topics regarding SA esports and gaming in general. I personally know ninety percent of the guest speakers and they are truly fantastic people. We have the creators and developers of Jengo itself Graeme Selvan and Louis Du Pisani, Mettlestate's Barry "Anthrax" Louzada (love him), Mike "Axtremes" Harmes, Mega8 Esports' Steve Whitford, and the wonderful Samantha Tech Girl Wright

We will also be filming our next season of Glitched at the event so if you are there then you could be seen on the show and TV too. There will be a Razer gaming hamper giveaway taking place with the value of R6000. Everyone attending the event will go into the draw to win it.

Who is this aimed at?

The Gaming Forum is not your average gaming event. It is aimed at SA gamers/streamers/content creators and even wanna-be writers who want to find a way to get involved in gaming in SA. The event will be filled with guys and girls who actively contribute to the industry on a daily basis and if you want some advice or want to see how it was all born then this event is for you. Perhaps you are a student who is studying game development and want to grill Robot Wizard with dozens of questions about Jengo? Maybe you are a wanna-be streamer who needs some tips on how to be more engaging?
