Everything you need to know about the Far Cry 5 Season Pass and Arcade Mode

Far Cry 5 is just over two weeks away and if you have been waiting for the game then I know how you feel. I am super excited to get my hands on the game and the wait is killing me. What has been quite interesting is that Far Cry 5's Season Pass looks like it is going to be one worth getting. Many games add pointless story chapters to the season pass and worthless skins (looking at you Batman Arkham Knight), but Ubisoft is working on some pretty exciting things for Far Cry 5 that will change the way you look at the game and offer experiences completely different from those that we have in the main game.

The Season Pass will have three pieces of DLC that will allow players to continue their uncanny journey in the game.

  • Hours of Darkness: Players will travel back in time to Vietnam to battle against Việt Cộng soldiers and save their fellow soldiers
  • Dead Living Zombies: Players will team up with friends to fight waves of zombies across seven different scenarios cooked up by a b-movie director
  • Lost on Mars: Players will leave Earth behind to go toe-to-claws with martian arachnids to save Earth from an alien invasion

Ubisoft has announced that Season Pass owners will receive the single player content from Far Cry 3 Classic Edition. You will also be able to buy the Far Cry 3 Classic Edition as a standalone game but it will only be available at a later date, Season Pass owners will get access to the game four weeks before it releases as a standalone purchase for everyone.

When it comes to the awesome Far Cry 5 Arcade, all players can look forward to an endless amount of free gameplay and map creation opportunities. Far Cry Arcade holds so much potential as players will be able to create solo, co-op and PvP multiplayer experiences using a massive range of assets spanning across multiple Ubisoft games. Far Cry Arcade will include assets from older Far Cry games, Assassin's Creed Unity, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and even Watch_Dogs. I cannot wait to see what the world comes up with in this mode and it will be an exciting place to spend your time when you are done with or taking a break from Hope County.

Right now you cannot buy the Season Pass separately from Far Cry 5 but you can buy the Far Cry 5 Gold Edition that will set you back R1,299. This pack includes the main game, Deluxe Edition content and the Season Pass.

  • Far Cry 4 Gold Edition (PS4) - R1299
  • Far Cry 5 Gold Edition (Xbox One) - R1299
  • Far Cry 5 Gold Edition (PC) -  R1299

Take a small glimpse of all the post-launch content coming to the game in a brand new trailer below. Far Cry 5 launches for PS4, Xbox One and PC on 27 March 2018.
