Rainbow Six Siege gets another free weekend and upcoming content detailed

Rainbow Six Siege currently boasts a 25 million strong community, and you can join them for the next free weekend. Ubisoft also announced more details about  Operation Chimera, and Outbreak, the co-op event.

If you're a Rainbow Six Siege player, then the free weekend is the ideal opportunity to invite friends to join.

Rainbow Six Siege Free weekend

  • Platforms: PC (via Uplay or Steam), PS4, and Xbox One
  • Date: 15-18 February
  • Content: Full game (maps, modes & operators)
  • Progress will carry over upon purchase (except on the Starter edition)

Operation Chimera & Outbreak event

  • Date: February 19 (Chimera)
  • Platform: PC
  • Where: Technical Test Servers
  • Content: Try out new Operators
  • Date: February 20 (Outbreak)
  • Mode: Co-op (up to 3 players)
  • Content: Infiltrate the Quarantine Zone in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico
  • Where: Technical Test Servers

On March 6 Operation Chimera will release for all Rainbow Six Siege players. The free Outbreak co-op event will release on the same day and run until April 3. Ubisoft also confirmed that there are three more Seasons to release in Rainbow Six Siege, with another six Operators (bringing the total to eight), two new maps, and one map overhaul.
