Square Enix released a special benchmark tool for Windows 10 to help users optimize and prepare their PC's for the release of Final Fantasy XV. Pre-orders are also now open on Steam, Origin, and the Microsoft store with special bonuses per distribution platform.

Final Fantasy XV Windows 10 Edition releases on March 6 worldwide.

FFXV Benchmark Tool

Final Fantasy XV Windows 10 Edition will release with MOD support, native 4K and 8K resolutions, HDR10 and DOLBY ATMOS support. We already talked about the PC requirements (read You will need a monster PC for Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition), but below are a few more details just released by Square Enix.

The benchmark tool can give you a score to indicate the level of performance you can expect from your PC when running the game. It does this by displaying several of the events, maps and characters used in the game.

The benchmark tool is region specific; select your corresponding region below:

I selected the Europe benchmark tool and it worked perfectly. The download is just over 3.6 GB, and it gives you a pretty good indication of how the game will run and look on your PC. I have almost all the 4K recommended PC requirements (GTX 1080, core i7), except a 4K monitor, and it's already looking fantastic. If the benchmark tool is a true representation of the gameplay, then FFXV is going to be a visual extravaganza on PC.
