Metal Gear Survive PC System Requirements Revealed

Metal Gear Survive PC Specs.jpg

The Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain spin-off, with a focus on base defence gameplay mixed with survival elements and crafting, Metal Gear Survive, will release next month, on 22 February to be exact. Marco had some hands-on time with the game’s beta on PS4 and came away impressed, calling the Kojima-free Metal Gear “a much-needed step in the right direction”.

For PC gamers, if you are interested in a game, then one of the most important details, alongside the release date, are the system requirements. We need to know if our PC can handle the game or if we need to throw some money at new gaming hardware to get the optimum experiences. Well, the Metal Gear Survive system requirements, both minimum and recommended, has been revealed, so check them out below.

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7x64, Windows 8x64, Windows 10x64 (64-bit OS Required)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 (3.40 GHz) or better; Quad-core or better
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (2GB) or better (DirectX 11 card Required)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 20 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Recommended Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7x64, Windows 8x64, Windows 10x64 (64-bit OS Required)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 (3.60GHz) or better; Quad-core or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (DirectX 11 graphic card required)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 20 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card (Surround Sound 5.1)

So basically, if you are reading this because you are a PC gamer and want to play the game, then your PC should be well above the minimum requirements and most PC gamers should even be way above the recommended requirements as well. Keep in mind that the developer did not specify which resolution (I assume its 1080p) the recommended system requirements are for, or what the FPS will be. Normally, it would be for a smooth and consistent 60FPS. Keep in mind that The Phantom Pain did run like a dream and with these requirements, there is no doubt that a modern gaming PC will have no problem at all running Metal Gear Survive.

ICYMI: If you want to see what the game is all about, check out our gameplay and impressions from the beta on the PS4 Pro so you have an idea of what to expect.
