Pokémon GO's latest update will make life a little easier for Trainers

Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.89.1 for Android, and version 1.59.1 for iOS devices. It's a small update, but it does make life a little easier for Trainers as it fixes the annoying bug that caused Pokémon to jump to the top of the list whenever you renamed or transferred it. Another new useful feature is that Trainers will be able to sort their Pokémon by region.

Pokémon GO patch notes

  • Resolved a bug that caused the Pokémon collection screen to scroll to the top after evolving, transferring, or renaming a Pokémon.
  • Added the ability to sort the Pokédex by region.
  • Improved incubator sorting order when selecting an incubator.
  • Improved the way Pokémon scale throughout the app.
  • Various bug fixes and performance updates.

At the time of writing the update hasn't yet rolled out on Google Play or iTunes.

In other Pokémon GO news, don't forget that you have until February 14 to catch Kyogre, a generation 3, Water-type Pokémon. The first global Pokémon GO Community Day kicks off on January 20 with the surfing Pikachu. Trainers will also earn double XP and can make use of special three-hour lures.
