Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered Announced for PS4 and Xbox One

Assassins Creed Rogue Remastered.jpg

Back when Assassin's Creed: Unity released in 2014, players were more interested in the next-gen version of the series than Rogue as it stood as the replacement for Unity on the older hardware such as the PS3 and Xbox 360. I for one never got around to playing Rogue as I was dived into the hot mess that was Unity and tried to play the game regardless of Ubisoft's lack of polish.

Those of you like me that never got around to playing it will be happy to know that Ubisoft will be releasing Assassin's Creed: Rogue Remastered on PS4 and Xbox One this March. This coming hot off the heels of the Dark Souls: Remastered announcement yesterday. The game will include all the original add-on content and two bonus missions, The Armor of Sir Gunn and The Siege of Fort de Sable. The game will also include Master Templar and Explorer packs that contain customization items for the main character similar to that of Bayek's gear system in Assassin's Creed: Origins.

The game is being remastered by the same team that worked on the original and will run at 1080P on supported hardware and 4K on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. There is no word on any other visuals enhancements to the game other than resolution at this time but considering Ubisoft did not add much flair to the Ezio Collection, this could also be a simple port.  The game is set in 18th century North America and tells the story of Shay Patrick Cormac who is an Assassin that slowly turns into a Templar extremist. The game is due for release on Xbox One and PS4 on 20 March 2018. Take a look at the full reveal trailer below.
