Praise the Sun!! After years of waiting and fans demanding a remaster of the first and original Dark Souls game From Sofware have finally listened and will be releasing Dark Souls: Remastered on 25 May 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and for the first time the series will land on Nintendo Switch too. I don't know about you but the thought of dying to the Bed of Chaos while lying in bed makes me very, very happy.

Dark Souls: Remastered will come with a few additional enhancements as well as the Atorias of the Abyss expansion when it lands on platforms in May. The game will boast native 4K 60FPS with HDR on PC, Xbox One X, and PS4 Pro, as well as FHD 60FPS HDR on standard PS4 and Xbox One models. The Nintendo Switch will run at 1080p/720p respective of it being docked or not and both with run at 30FPS according to the game's site.

Instead of the traditional 4-player co-op, Dark Souls Remastered will come with a 6-player online feature similar to that of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin. Dark Souls: Remastered will also support dedicated servers to improve matchmaking and PvP matches too. This will be a great new addition to the game.

Bandai Namco also announced a gorgeous Trilogy Edition that includes all three games, six soundtrack discs, a massive 1000-page Item Encyclopedia, and two bookbinders that will let you store all the items on your shelf in full Dark Souls glory. While this is pretty to look at, there is no Western release confirmed and the price of 49,800 Yen equates to $450 which results in over R6000 worth of Dark Souls goodness. Maybe it is better if it does not release here because I need that in my life.
