Dota 2: Digital Chaos reportedly disbands

DC Disbands.jpg

The Dota 2 team for Digital Chaos had a fairytale run at The International 2016, taking second place after they got defeated by Wings Gaming in the Grand Finals. With their immense success, everyone suddenly knew who Digital Chaos was, but due to multiple shuffles and roster changes, the team hasn’t been doing so well ever since.

Last month, rumours started emerging that the Dota 2 squad for Digital Chaos was disbanding, as three players Mason "Mason" Venne, Max "qojqva" Bröcker and Arif "MSS" Anwar all removed the team banners from their Twitter account. Now, the carry player Mason has confirmed on a Twitch.tv stream that the team has indeed disbanded.

Mason broke the news while playing with Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu from Vici Gaming and you can listen to the clip right here. Mason said that: “I don't really care, honestly, DC disbanded. You know I'm on a look for another team.” - Source

Keep in mind that Digital Chaos has not officially confirmed that their Dota 2 roster is no more, but for those who have been following the team this year, it should come as no surprise really. Rumours started to appear as early as October when David "MoonMeander" Tan and Abed Aze "Abed" Yusop left the squad after there were no good results from the team in quite some time.

Even so, you should take the information with a grain of salt until such time as the organization officially announces the departure of their current Dota 2 roster. I, for one, hope that Digital Chaos will reform in some way, or that new players will join their squad and that it isn’t a full disband.

What do you think about Digital Chaos’ Dota 2 squad very likely have disbanded and are you a fan of the team? Let us know in the comment section below.
