The South African Protea ESports Team competing at the 9th Esports World Championship

Last week we reported that everyone can watch the 9th ESports World Championship, hosted by the International e-Sports Federation (IeSF) live on both YouTube and Twitch.tv. The ESports World Championship takes place in Busan, Korea, from 9 to 12 November 2017.

The Protea Esports Team, sponsored by BOO! is flying out today and will be competing League of Legends (LoL), Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) and Tekken7 against 35 other countries consisting of 328 athletes. The MSSA went through the process of selecting these teams and players, explaining that:

The process includes holding Regional, Provincial, and National Championships which feed into the annual National Team Trials. It is from those that participate at the National Team Trials that the National Squad is selected, and then from those in the National Squad, various Protea Teams are selected to play in various events.

So, who are these players? The MSSA has revealed the full roster, managed by Ryan Boyes. Check out the teams, players and their respective roles below:
