You'll want to return to the game for this one, even if it's just to catch the cutest Pikachu ever. Niantic announced the in-game event a few hours ago, and there's plenty of treats for everyone in Pokémon GO, including the release of Gen 3. All you have to do is catch them.

"Gastly and Cubone are back again for #PokemonGO Halloween, and this time, they’re bringing a few friends..." reads the announcement on the official Pokémon GO Twitter account.

  • Other Ghost-type Pokémon: Sableye, Banette
  • Hoenn region Pokémon will appear in the game for the first time
  • A special Pikachu will be out celebrating Halloween in an all-new costume.
