On 9 and 11 September, MWEB will host two major MSSA events that will take place at the MCave and see the South African team go up against Switzerland and Tunisia in preparation for the IeSF 2017 World Championship.

On 28 August 2017, the Tunisia Association of Gamers, also known as (TAG), challenged the South African Mind Sports Association to a friendly IeSF online test match in League of Legends. The MSSA agreed to participate in the match. MSSA team captain Ryan Boyes has already begun putting his team together for the match that will take place on 16 September 2017 hosted at the MCave.

As for Switzerland, they too challenged the MSSA to a friendly IeSF online test match with games that include CS: GO, Dota 2, and Tekken 7. These matches will take place on 9 September 2017. For the first time ever, there will be twice as many females on this team that will go head to head against Switzerland, which is a major feat for the organization as they have been pushing gender equity in all their practices. Some of the females on the Protea team include Marisa Van der Westhuizen and Esmari Swart.

The match against Switzerland will take place on 9 September 2017 at the MCave and MWEB is more than happy to support the MSSA in their endeavours to create a great gaming career path for the local guys and girls in SA who simply love gaming.

The match details are as follows:

  • Ceremony - 12:00 till 13:00
